Junior High Dress Code

Please review the following regarding the dress code & grooming for Junior High students:

BOYS:

  • Long pants in good condition (no tears, holes, or frays) are to be worn on campus. Pants must be properly sized and must be worn at or near the waistline with no visible undergarments.  Dress shorts are also acceptable, as long as they are no shorter than the top of the knee, or the crease in the back of the knee.  Athletic shorts may not be worn other than during PE.
  • An RCA t-shirt may be worn on Mondays. Otherwise, an RCA polo should be worn.
  • A polo shirt with the RCA logo must be worn Tuesdays – Thursdays.
  • A t-shirt may be worn on Fridays. T-Shirts must not contain any offensive language or messages. The final decision is at the discretion of the administrator.
  • NO hats, headwear, or sunglasses are to be worn in the building.
  • A neat, sturdy pair of shoes or tennis shoes must be worn (no sandals).
  • Hair should be well groomed, traditional color, out of the eyes, off the shirt collar and not below the earlobe. Please stick to conventional tapered haircuts – no fads such as Mohawk, shaved sides, etc.
  • Students are to be clean-shaven. Side burns may be worn to the bottom of the earlobe. A mustache may be worn if it is neat, not past the corner of the mouth and not lower than the top of the upper lip. This is a privilege not a right. The final decision will be at the discretion of the administration.
  • Jewelry that detracts from classroom environment is not acceptable.
